Best Rentals for Fall Cleanup

If you want to spend the most time enjoying your yard in the warmer months, there are a few things you may want to do this fall to ensure your yard is set for spring when the snow finally melts.

Many of these annual cleanup tasks require equipment that many homeowners do not need to own. Luckily for these one-off jobs, we have rental equipment to help you complete the project. These rental equipment options will make the job quick and easy!

For Starters

We recommend making a list of things you need to do around your property and prioritizing them by the things that make the most significant difference and the most efficient order to do them. For instance, you may want to pick up fallen sticks and litter before aerating your lawn. Once you have a list of projects and have ordered them in a way that makes sense, make a list of any tools you will need for your tasks and take a trip down to pick them up. If you have any questions about the equipment, our friendly rental staff will be happy to help and give you a run down on how to operate it.

Clearing Your Yard

One piece of equipment that may come to your mind for fall cleanup is a leaf blower. Leaf blowers are excellent for clearing and removing debris from your yard. Maybe you have a bigger litter on your lawn, and the leaf blower isn’t cutting it. Another option for you is the power paddle broom. These are great for removing small sticks, stones, and larger debris from your lawn.

If your goal is to have a healthy green lawn come springtime, an important step to take now is to aerate your lawn. Aeration allows nutrients to penetrate the soil and makes it easier for the grass to absorb and use the nutrients. It also prepares your soil to accept seed to make your grass thicker next summer.

Dead Tree Limbs

Heavy snowfall can become more of a problem when you have trees with dead limbs. The snow and ice that can build up on these limbs can cause them to break and fall, causing injury, damage to your home, or a mess. You can save yourself a headache by removing these limbs before the snow falls. We have rental pole saws, chainsaws, and ladders to help you get to those hard-to-reach limbs! And once you have them down, consider renting a woodchipper or a wooded splitter to process the dead wood.

Cleaning Out Gutters

Cleaning out your gutters is a task that no one looks forward to; however, it could save you a big headache. Clogged gutters leave nowhere for the water, snow, and ice to go. This can lead to an ice jam on your roof and water build-up that could leak into your home, causing damage. Depending on the height of your home, a ladder or Genie lift can help you get this job done.
